Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Jule account on top of your password, using an authenticator app like Google Authenticator or Authy.
Enabling Two-Factor Authentication
Turning on 2FA takes a minute and requires an authenticator app already installed on your phone.
In your account settings, find the Two-Factor Authentication section and click Enable 2FA.
Scan the QR code with your authenticator app — or enter the key shown below it manually — then type the 6-digit code into the Verification Code field and click Verify & Enable.
Two-factor authentication is now enabled, and a set of backup codes appears — save them before closing the dialog. See Backup Codes below for what to do with them.
Backup Codes
Backup codes are one-time codes you can use to sign in if you ever lose access to your authenticator app. They’re shown once — when you first enable 2FA, and again any time you click Regenerate Backup Codes in account settings — so save them somewhere safe as soon as they appear.
When you first enable 2FA you can Copy Codes or Download them as a text file; a regenerated set offers Copy Codes only, so paste them somewhere safe before closing the dialog. Each code can only be used once.

Recovering Access
If you lose your device at login, click Use a backup code on the two-factor authentication screen. This swaps the authentication code field for a Backup Code field — enter one of your saved codes there instead of a code from your authenticator app. Click Use authenticator app instead to switch back if you find your device.
Once you’re back in, generate a fresh set of backup codes from account settings so you’re not left with fewer codes than you started with.
